At least 20 people drowned when two motorised canoes they were travelling in capsized in bad weather on Lake Albert in western Uganda, police said today.
"Two boats carrying merchandise and passengers on LakeAlbert got caught in bad weather and their boats capsized onTuesday night," police said.
Police rescued 18 other people travelling in the boats,they added.
