London - The British Prime Minister, Mr Blair, yesterday faced intense pressure to name a donor who has given his party £2 million, Rachel Donnelly reports.

The head of the Tory parliamentary campaigns unit, Mr John Redwood, said Labour's silence over the donor's identity was "absolutely extraordinary" given that new government laws forcing all political parties to name donors who give more than £5,000 will come into effect next month.
