Blackpool - Months of speculation over the future ownership of Blackpool Tower ended yesterday when it was sold by the entertainment group, First Leisure, as part of a £74 million deal.
The holiday landmark has been bought along with several of its other tourist attractions by Leisure Parcs, a company controlled by the family of Mr Trevor Hemmings.
