KUALA LUMPUR - A 15 hour nationwide blackout at the weekend was a huge embarrassment for Malaysia and must not be allowed to recur, the deputy prime minister, Mr Anwar Ibrahim, said.
The massive power failure began around 5:17 p.m. (0917 GMT) on Saturday after a fault at the Paka power station in Terengganu state triggered an automatic shutdown of all power plants in the peninsula.
