Big quake in South Pacific

GOLDEN, Colorado - An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the open ended Richter scale was recorded in the Easter Island region in the South Pacific yesterday, the US Geological Survey said. "This was a big earthquake," said Ms Rebecca Phipps, a spokeswoman, said in Colorado.
