With Xabi Alonso out with a broken ankle, Antonio Nunez comes into midfield. Neil Mellor, Stephen Warnock and Salif Diao are also recalled to the starting XI. Djimi Traore, Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Dietmar Hamann all drop to the bench.
Norwich, hovering just above the relegation zone, make only one alteration from the side which earned a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth.
Full-back Marc Edworthy is suspended following his red card at Fratton Park, so Denmark captain Thomas Helveg, fit again after suffering concussion, replaces him.
