COLOMBO - Ferocious battles raged at a Hindu temple in northern Sri Lanka, leaving 41 Tamil Tiger guerrillas and at least five soldiers dead, the ministry said yesterday. Security forces and police have been placed on red alert in Colombo amid fears that the will carry out more attacks.
