Argentine striker Gabriel Batistuta completed his loan move from AS Roma to Serie A rivals Inter Milan today.

The former Fiorentina star joins Inter until the end of the season as cover for injured compatriot Hernan Crespo.

Batistuta (33) said he was relishing his new challenge.

"Inter are a solid squad, a good group," he said. "I know that I can't play in the Champions League (as he has played with Roma this season) so the championship is my only objective and I will give my all to win it here at Inter".

Inter last won the championship in 1989.
