Paris - Two suspected members of the Basque militant group ETA, arrested in Bordeaux in southern France after a gun-battle last Friday, have been placed under judicial investigation in Paris, court sources said yesterday.

Police said they suspect the men - both Spanish Basques - of belonging to a group known as Commando Y, responsible for carrying out support and logistical operations for ETA.
