Basque moderate reelected

Vitoria - The moderate Basque nationalist leader, Mr Juan Jose Ibarretxe, was reelected yesterday as First Minister of the Basque autonomous parliament, reports Paddy Woodworth. The support of the non-nationalist United Left Euskadi in second-round voting gave Mr Ibarretxe's administration an unexpected overall majority and opens the way to a broader representation in the Basque Government.
