Bank of Ireland  is to sell its half-share in a electronic payment business,  EuroConex Technologies for €40 million.

The share will be sold to Bank of Ireland's joint partner in the business, NOVA Information Systems, a subsidiary of US Bancorp.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval. The profit on the proposed disposal will be shown as an exceptional item in Bank of Ireland's interim results.
