Baltimore Technologies PLC has received "several expressions of interest" for its Content Technologies unit, according to a company spokeswoman.
The spokeswoman declined to identify the companies involved.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Surfcontrol PLC confirmed his company is considering making an approach for the Content unit, but denied a bid had been made or is likely to be forthcoming.
A bid for Content was only being evaluated "just as the company considers many possible targets," the spokesman said.
When asked if Surfcontrol had made an expression of interest, he replied: "Not as far as I know." AFP
