British Airways and trade unions said today they had reached agreement to end a costly labour dispute, 12 days after a wildcat strike forced the airline to scrap more than 500 flights.
"We are very pleased to announce that there has been an agreement reached," Brendan Barber, general secretary of the country's leading union council, told reporters.
"We are very pleased with the outcome," said Mr Mervyn Walker, BA's director of operations at Heathrow Airport and the airline's main negotiator.
