A Dublin man who maimed another man by gouging out his eye during a fight after a disco has had his sentence increased to three years by the Court of Criminal Appeal.
Robert Clarke (27), of Mountainview, Rathfarnham, had received an 18-month sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for grievous bodily harm committed in the grounds of a church in Killiney, Co Dublin, on October 26th, 1996.
