Artillery battles in Kashmir

New Delhi - India and Pakistan fought artillery duels in Kashmir yesterday as diplomats aided by US efforts searched for ways to end the worst confrontation between the south Asian neighbours in 30 years. The Indian air force switched tactics from routine morning strikes to round-the-clock bombing of hundreds of guerrillas who have infiltrated the Indian side of Kashmir.
