An armed man has broken into the Canadian embassy in Belgrade, Radio B92 reported, quoting police sources.
A dozen police vehicles could be seen around the embassy, located on one of the main avenues of Belgrade, the capital of the former Yugoslavian republic of Serbia.
The man’s identity was unknown, the radio said, adding it was not clear whether he had taken any hostages.
Police have sealed off the premises.

A witness said a man ran along a pavement near the embassy, jumped over the fence and entered the building shortly after 11.00 a.m. GMT. He could not say whether the man had been armed.
