The architect Mr Sam Stephenson has confirmed to The Irish Times that he will be leading an architectural bus tour of Dublin to mark World Architecture Day tomorrow. He said a report that he had pulled out of the engagement following the disclosure that his name appears on the Ansbacher list was based on a misunderstanding.

Mr Stephenson's fellow guide for the free bus tour, which starts from Habitat on St Stephen's Green at 2.30 p.m., will be Frank McDonald, Environment Correspondent of The Irish Times.

The tour is one of a number of events organised by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland to mark World Architecture Day. It must be booked in advance by telephoning the RIAI at (01) 676-1703.

In the National Gallery today at 1 p.m. the award-winning architect, Mr Sean O Laoire, will give a public lecture on the 10 shortlisted contenders in a Sunday Tribune competition for the title "Irish Building of the 20th Century".
