THREE Fianna Fail TDs asked that an appeal be lodged, by the Director of Public Prosecutions against the dismissal of Flannery murder case by the Central Criminal Court last, week.

Mr Batt O'Keeffe (FF, Cork, South Central) said that a person accused of murder was now walking around the streets of Cork while relatives of the victim were living in fear.

The Minister of State for Education, Mr Bernard Allen (for the Minister for, Justice), said that the Garda Commissioner had appointed a chief, superintendent to conduct an inquiry into the case and pending its outcome it would not be appropriate to comment.
