Ambulance crew injured in Rathmines attack

An ambulance crew was attacked in Dublin early this morning after being called to an incident outside a nightclub.

An ambulance crew was attacked in Dublin early this morning after being called to an incident outside a nightclub.

The Fire Brigade ambulance was called from Dolphins Barn to a popular Rathmines nightclub, where a man was lying on the ground outside.

But after being removed from the scene, the patient became violent and attacked the ambulance crew.

Gardaí were called and removed the man in question.

One of the two-man ambulance crew was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released.
