Gardaí are investigating an alleged attempt to abduct a young girl in Bray, Co Wicklow, this morning.
The incident occurred on the Boghall Road at 8.30am. The girl (10) was on her way to school at the time.
It is understood that she was approached by a man who was driving a white car and was forced into the vehicle. She escaped shortly afterwards and then raised the alarm.
A Garda spokesman said a "suspicious approach" was being investigated.
