The ISEQ index of shares was trading 12 points down at 6,242.91 late this afternoon. After a trading statement in line with expectations AIB was up 6 cents at euro 12.61.
Bank of Ireland today announced the appointment of Mr Michael Soden as its new group chief executive. Its share price was down 23 cents at euro 10.75 by late this afternoon.
Irish Life and Permanent had another positive day’s trading rising 20 cents to euro 13.70.
Elsewhere tech giant Iona was down euro 4.82 at 41.00 near the close of trading while Elan was 88 cents at euro 67.30.
