A customer survey on the use of AIB banking in Post Offices has shown AIB customers are more favourably disposed toward the bank since the service's launch, AIB said.

The bank's says 71 per cent of its customers are more favourably disposed towards it since the introduction of the service in November 2002.

Since the introduction of the service, AIB customers have been able to lodge or withdraw cash, make a cash payment on a credit card bill or make a business deposit at 1,000 Post Offices nationwide.

The survey results show that convenience is the main reason AIB customers are using the service, both in rural and urban areas, the bank said.

According to AIB, after just nine months, 12 per cent of AIB customers - more than 100,000 people - are using the service.
