VIENNA - Nuclear experts with scuba gear and high tech detectors expect to begin scouring France's South Pacific test sites in March to search for radioactive contamination, the UN atomic agency said yesterday.

Since September 1995, France has conducted six underground nuclear tests at the Mururoa and Fangataufa atolls in French Polynesia, triggering protests around the world.
