The ICTU is seeking urgent action by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to improve the service provided by the employment rights enforcement section of the Department.
Responding to a review of the section by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which was released to The Irish Times under the Freedom of Information Act, ICTU information officer Mr Oliver Donohoe said: "If the major service inadequacies revealed in the review are not rectified quickly, the employment rights of thousands of workers will be put in jeopardy."
