An £87 million funding pack- age for road improvements in the North has been announced by the Environment Minister, Lord Dubs. A total of £35 mil- lion will be spent on the West link, with flyovers to be built at the Broadway and Grosvenor Road roundabouts in Belfast.

A further £15 million will be used to improve the A1 between Loughbrickland and Newry, £8 million for the Toomebridge bypass and £10 million for the A8 Larne road. Improvements to the Omagh to Strabane road and the completion of the Omagh bypass were also confirmed.
