A former care worker in a Co Monaghan nursing home who was dismissed following complaints about her treatment of residents has been awarded €8,500 compensation by an Employment Appeals Tribunal.
The tribunal found Mary Reilly, Clonkeencole, Roslea Road, Clones, was unfairly dismissed by Donal O’Gallagher of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Roslea Road, Clones. The tribunal said it had not been satisfied Ms Reilly’s behaviour “amounted to breach of trust or gross misconduct”.
