73 deaths in boat accident reported

Lagos - At least 73 people died when an overloaded boat capsized in the Chikun area of Nigeria's northern Kaduna state, a local newspaper said yesterday. The Daily Times did not say when the incident occurred but added that there could be more casualties as some survivors taken unconscious to the hospital were reported to have later died.
