Madrid - Seven people from a Spanish theatre group were killed and 12 injured yesterday when a bus carrying 20 people ran off the highway and crashed down an embankment.
The group had been returning to Madrid when the crash occurred near Avila, about 120 km north-west of Madrid. The members of the Fundacion del Teatro Lirico (Lyrical Theatre Foundation) were returning from a performance of a "little opera" in Gijon.
