Four Scotsmen, an Englishman and an Irishman appeared in court yesterday charged in connection with last Monday's £2 million drug seizure in Dublin.
Judge Miriam Malone remanded all six in custody until Thursday, with only the Irishman granted consent to bail of £50,000.
All are charged with possession of heroin for the purpose of supply and with having drugs worth in excess of £10,000, a charge which carries a mandatory 10-year sentence on conviction.
The four Scotsman, all from Glasgow, were: Mr John Lynn snr (51), Mr John Lynn jnr (21), both of Muir Avenue; Mr Thomas Waddell (27), Easterhouse; and Mr David Watt (26), Murkey Hall.
The Englishman was Mr Thomas Mulvey (63), of Stanley, Liverpool, and the Irishman Mr Mark Kane (29), St Mark's Grove, Clondalkin.
