Carphone Warehouse has cancelled a promotional event featuring US rapper 50 Cent due to take place in Dundrum Town Centre today.
The event was cancelled in the wake of controversial comments 50 Cent made on Twitter about children with special educational needs. He was set to launch his new line of headphones and meet fans.
The rapper responded to a fan on the site saying “yeah, just saw your picture fool you look autistic”. He also tweeted his seven million followers: “I don’t want no special ed kids on my timeline follow some body else”.
