A PRIMARY school remedial teacher who sexually assaulted five of his female pupils has been given a four-year suspended sentence. Judge Kieran O'Connor at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court also directed the 48-year-old, married, father of four to carry out 240 hours community service and enter into a bond to keep the peace for three years. The defendant pleaded guilty to the offences on February 17th last just after his trial began.
