Salerno - Four fans of the Italian soccer club, Salernitana, were burned to death after a fire broke out aboard a special train taking them home from the final match of the season, police said yesterday.

The victims were trapped in a carriage inside a tunnel between the town of Nocera and the southern port city of Salerno on their way home from the northern Italian town of Piacenza, where Salernitana had drawn their final match of the season.
