4.5m cigarettes seized at Dublin Port

Some 4.5 million cigarettes worth an estimated €1.34 million were seized by Customs officers at Dublin Port today.

Some 4.5 million cigarettes worth an estimated €1.34 million were seized by Customs officers at Dublin Port today.

The "Montana" branded cigarettes were smuggled into Ireland in a consignment of televisions from the port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates.

Investigations are under way both nationally and internationally.
