31-year-old man charged over Cork stabbing

A 31-year-old man has appeared before Cork District Court charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city yesterday.

A 31-year-old man has appeared before Cork District Court charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city yesterday.

Mr William O'Connor, with an address from St John's Terrace in Kinsale, was charged with assault causing harm to 27-year-old Mr Richard Daly from Buttevant in Co Cork.

A garda spokeswoman said Mr Daly was found unconscious at an address in Tower Street at around 5 p.m. yesterday. He was taken to the South Infirmary Hospital, but died a short time later.
