A schoolboy who fell from an ESB sub-station box near his home three years ago has been awarded €30,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

Barrister Jim Phillips said that in September 2006, Danny Miller (8), Ramsgate, Gorey, Co Wexford, suffered a badly displaced fracture of both bones in his right arm.

Circuit Court president Mr Justice Matthew Deery Judge Deery approved the assessment by the Personal Injuries Assessment Board of general damages of €30,000 and awarded a further €1,500 to cover expenses, which will be lodged in court funds until Danny is 18.
