Minister of State for Overseas Development Peter Power has announced additional funding of €2 million to tackle hunger in Malawi
The money will support a programme to improve farmers’ access to seeds, fertilisers and pesticides. It will also fund agricultural research to enhance crop yields. Malawi is one of Irish Aid’s nine priority countries.
