Bamako - At least 22 Malians died in a deadly month of racist violence in Libya during September, Malian press reports said yesterday.

Mr Mohamed Haidara, the head of an association of repatriated Malians, told the Malian paper l'Essor that seven people had been lynched or stabbed in one incident.
