New Delhi - Eleven people were killed and 10 others injured yesterday when an explosion ripped through a chemical factory in the central Indian city of Pune, the Press Trust of India reported.

The dead and injured were assembling explosives at the time of the incident. Eight of the injured admitted to hospital were in a serious condition.
