TODAY: Score points with the kids by introducing them to the latest new Manga-style trading card game Duel Masters, which has already overtaken Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon in Japan. Experts will be on hand on the first floor of the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin to teach the young folk (aged 8-15) all they need to know about becoming a Kaijudo Master. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Rule the Dule! Or something.

TOMORROW: The Belfast Rockabilly Roots Round-Up celebrates 50 years of rock and roll and the anniversary of the first recording of That's Alright Mama by Elvis in Sun Studios on July 5th, 1954. Laganside's Barrow Square will be jumping with the sounds of Nic Roulette and the Blue Moon Boys from Indiana and Welsh combo The Rimshots. Tickets from £12 from the Belfast Visitor Centre on 04890-246609.

MONDAY: The Clonmel Junction Festival offers a chance to see Romeo and Juliet as Shakespeare intended when the Daylight Players perform a production of this classic tragedy in the tradition of London's Globe Theatre. As night falls the play is performed by the light of oil lanterns for that authentic Shakespearean feel. The Raheen House Hotel, Clonmel. Tickets from €12. Contact 052-29339.

TUESDAY: Dubliner Dylan Rynhart takes to the stage at the National Concert Hall with his 10-piece Jazz Ensemble Fuzzy Logic, a contemporary outfit performing original compositions such as Pluto's View and No Fehr. Watch out for angel-voiced Sue Brady in this intriguing musical confection presented by the Wicklow School of Music and Drama. Tickets from €12 (€8 for students). Contact 01-4170000.

WEDNESDAY: Tychonaut, formerly The Tycho Brae, play the Parlour at the Stag's Head tonight providing the perfect midweek musical interlude. The new name may be just as strange as the last but we are reliably informed the music hasn't changed, which will be a relief to fans of this uniquely talented trio. From 8 p.m. Contact 01-6793701.

THURSDAY: The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin wants to keep you up later than ever this summer by offering a chance to get night views from the Gravity Bar. A complimentary bus service departs hourly from 6 p.m. to 8.45 p.m. from Bewley's on Westmoreland Street so you can watch the sun set over a pint or have dinner in the Brewery or Source Bars. Last entry 9 p.m. Tickets 13.50 (adults) and 7 (students aged under 18 and senior citizens). For advance booking phone 01-4084800 or log on to guinness-storehouse.com.

FRIDAY: Are you young, free, single and male? Form an orderly queue as today marks the closing date for entries to the 2004 Rose of Tralee Escorts competition. If you think you have what it takes - the ability to swan around Tralee in a tuxedo minding the handbag of the Texas Rose - e-mail info@roseoftralee.ie.
