Does Aer Lingus think Frankfurt is a summer-only destination?

Sir, – I have just completed my 54th flight of 2026, most of which have been for work but some were for leisure, and I know my carbon footprint is appalling. Nearly all of these flights were with Aer Lingus.

I travel to Frankfurt at least 10 times a year. When planning a recent trip, I found that, according to Aer Lingus’s new schedule, there are no flights available from November 2nd until March 28th, 2027.

Not once on my flights to Frankfurt have I noticed that the flight, no matter the time of day, was not busy, if not almost at capacity.

I cannot understand the logic of Aer Lingus declaring Frankfurt to be a more or less summer-only destination. So now, instead of spending a lot of money, albeit my company’s, on an ostensibly Irish product, I have to give it to Lufthansa in Germany.
