ART AFTERNOONS

Starting today and running until Friday, artist Maria Kerin presents a series of art classes in her studio in Co Clare. Groups are small, and the class runs from 2pm to 5pm daily. The cost is €95, which includes afternoon tea. Tel: 087-7711033.

This annual traditional music festival gets underway today in Cavan with a range of events from music workshops to art and historical exhibitions. The official opening takes place at 8pm tonight at the Radisson Hotel, followed by a harp recital. fleadh2010.ie.

CORK TOUR

This walking tour, led by John Collins, runs Monday to Friday at 10am and 2pm and takes in the medieval foundations and early settlement of the city. The tour lasts an hour and 40 minutes and begins outside the tourist office on Grand Parade. Tickets €10/€5. Tel: 085-1007300.

CLANDEBOYNE FESTIVAL

This annual Bangor classical music programme offers a chance to see talented young musicians as well as participate in several free masterclasses. Tomorrow’s events include a lunchtime recital in the chapel, as well as an evening performance at 7.30pm in the banqueting hall. See camerata-ireland.com.

THEATRE IN GOREY

Each Tuesday and Thursday in August, Gorey Little Theatre Group perform Lennox Robinson's Drama At Inish. The summer programme has been going since 1967. Tickets are available at the box office at Gorey Little Theatre, pre-booking not necessary. €10 adults/€8 students. Performance begins at 8.30pm. goreytheatre.com.
