The Bald Barista cafe in Dublin is asking its customers not to say the F-word, after receiving a 12-page letter from Starbucks’ Dublin lawyers instructing them to cease and desist from using the word “Frappuccino” on the cafe menu. Unbeknownst to the Bald Barista, which has cafes on Aungier Street and Harcourt Road, the name of the iced coffee is a Starbucks trademark. The Bald Barista himself, Buzz Fendall, is running a competition for customers to rename the F*****ccino.

“We really didn’t know it was a registered trademark and we did remove it instantly. We thank them very much for taking time out of their busy day to let us know,” Fendall says. He is asking customers to search for “Bald Barista” on Facebook and add their suggestions, or use the in-cafe comment boxes. Una Mullally
