THE SOCIAL NETWORK:Her designs have been worn by Meryl Streep, Sabina Higgins and Beyoncé, and now Louise Kennedy is designing a vestment for Fr Michael Collins of St Mary's church on Haddington Road in Dublin 4. Earlier this year, Kennedy held the photoshoot for her spring/summer collection at the Corinthia Hotel in London. The hotel was designed by Fr Collins's brother, David Collins.
Fr Collins is organising a three-day exhibition of historical vestments at St Mary’s to coincide with the Eucharistic Congress, which is taking place in the RDS from June 10th to 17th.
The Kennedy vestment – which has been inspired by the decorative motifs in the sanctuary of St Mary’s – will be unveiled at the exhibition, which opens on June 9th.
