Line up for some Dingle fare

Here we are, back in school and stuck in a so-far unsunny September

Here we are, back in school and stuck in a so-far unsunny September. The only response to this sorry state of affairs is to assume we are due an Indian summer, and to plan a few autumnal escapes accordingly.

Thus we recommend you head to Dingle on October 2nd to 4th for the annual food and wine festival. The town will be brimming with market stalls, special menus in all the pubs and restaurants and galleries, along with chocolate-making lessons, cookery demos, foraging walks and wine tastings. Blasket Island lamb, anyone? Yes, please! Full information on the Dingle Peninsula Food and Wine Festival can be found on www.dinglefood.com. It will keep you going until the winter. Patsey Murphy
