Planning developments to look out for in Dublin.

The Edge got permission: U2's The Edge, aka Dave Evans, has been granted planning permission by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to improve his Killiney home.

He will block up the existing entrance of Fortlands on Killiney Hill Road and open a new entrance off the avenue leading to Villa Maria, providing a new driveway and gate opening. He will also reposition a portion of the south-west corner wall to give improved sight lines and to raise the south wall and part of the west boundary wall by 1.5 metres.

Another planning application to build an open air swimming pool on a raised paved platform as well as a hot tub and changing room at Fortlands is still in the planning pipeline.
