DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: Fota Castle, Fota Townland, Fota Island, Co Cork. Proposed development: 60-berth marina, slipway, toilets, pumping station, access improvements, 22 car-parking spaces and drop-off facility. Applicant: Cityking International.

Location: Glenmaroon, Knockmaroon Hill, Chapelizod, Dublin 20. Proposed development: relocation of horticultural training facility ancillary to Glen College. DÚN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN  - APPLICATIONS

Location: Rossbeigh, Harolds Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. Proposed development: demolish dwelling and garage for 25 apartments (four one-bedroom units, 16 two-bedroom units and four three-bedroom units) on four levels over basement car-parking plus one fourth floor penthouse, associated site works, including the relocation of site entrance boundary wall adjacent to Harolds Grange Road, landscaping and paths. Applicant: Randal and Marian McGuinness Logue.

Location: 29 Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Co Dublin. Proposed development: retention of safety railings to roof garden parapet wall. Applicant: Jim Sheridan.

DECISION TO GRANT

Location: Seapoint Dart Station, Seapoint Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin. Proposed development: removal/demolition of station building and footbridge structures. In their place a new building, providing full mobility-impaired access, will be provided as new composite footbridge/station-type design. The main building will be a steel and glass structure and will span across the railway. It will incorporate a lobby area, ticket office with ancillary accommodation, stairs and full mobility-impaired lift access to both platforms, the approach footpath and boundary stone walls will be re-grated and modified. SOUTH DUBLIN - APPLICATIONS

Location: the Gate Lodge, Pearse Museum, St Endas, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. Proposed development: single storey kitchen extension to the east side of the gate lodge, several reversible interior alterations to provide disabled access, works to reinstate the previous architectural character, the reduction of ground levels at the south and west and miscellaneous security works. Applicant: commissioners of Public Works in Ireland.

Location: Templeogue Tennis Club, Templeogue Road, Templeogue, Dublin 6W. Proposed development: balcony at first floor to the rear of the clubhouse, practice wall adjacent court 11 with associated enclosure and increase in height from 3m to 3.6m of a fence to the north-west boundary with the Morgue public house. Applicant: Templeogue Tennis Club.

Location: Ballymun Cross/Old Ballymun Road (adjoining Statoil service station and new road to Santry Demesne), Santry, Dublin 9. Proposed development: five-storey mixed-use development in four blocks over basement car-parking with three commercial units and a café bar on the ground floor, 55 apartments (six one-bedroom, 36 two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom units) and all associated site works. Location: Bawn Road, Rush, Co Dublin. Proposed development: four detached houses, new access road and all associated site development works. Applicant: Ros-eo Developments Ltd.

Location: second floor, Riverside Development, Mulhuddart Village, Dublin 15. Proposed development: change of use from residential (currently 10 apartments) to office use, total 746sq m (8,030sq ft) all at second floor. Applicant: Paul Dunne

DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL - APPLICATIONS

Location: 47, 49, 51, 53 and 53a Keeper Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12. Proposed development: demolish double storey shops and single storey community centre for a four to five-storey apartment block of 6,007sq m (64,659sq ft) of four storeys along Keeper Road with a corner element of five floors. The block will consist of 16 one-bedroom units, 45 two-bedroom units and nine three-bedroom units (70 apartments) and 62 car-parking spaces. Location: 50-58 Percy Place, Dublin 4. Proposed development: demolish all structures on site for a six-storey building to accommodate 19 apartments at ground, first, second, third, fourth and fifth floor levels comprising one one-bedroom unit, 10 two-bedroom units, seven three-bedroom units and one four-bedroom unit. Provision of 19 car-parking spaces at basement level and all ancillary site development works. Applicant: John Lally.

Location: 23 Liberty Lane, Dublin 8. Proposed development: demolish two-storey structure for a five-storey mixed-use building comprising entrance hall, bin store, bicycle store and an office at ground level, one three-bedroom duplex apartment at ground and first floor, one two-bedroom apartment at second floor and two one-bedroom apartments at third and fourth floor penthouse level. Location: 1 Mountjoy Street, Dublin 1. Proposed development: reconstruct accommodation over three floors to include six one-bedroom apartments and six two-bedroom apartments with fourth floor penthouse apartments, the refurbishment of Berkeley licensed premises (protected structure). DECISION TO GRANT

Location: site bounded by Belclare Green to the south and west, Balbutcher Lane South to the north and east, Poppintree, Ballymun, Dublin 11. Proposed development: residential scheme of 14 housing units (eight three-bedroom houses, two three-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments) with 14 car-parking spaces.
