DECISION TO GRANT

Location: Commissioners of Irish Lights site, Dún Laoghaire Harbour, Co Dublin. DECISION TO REFUSE

SOUTH DUBLIN

Location: lands at Kingswood, Naas Road located east of Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24. Proposed development: mixed-use residential/commercial development of 169 residential units made up of 89 two, three and four-bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced houses and 53 two-bedroom apartments and 27 three-bedroom duplex units in eight three-storey blocks and one single storey block.Commercial block of 701sq m (7,545sq ft) with one two-storey block comprising crèche and associated facilities on two floors, two retail units with two offices on first floor and erect 26 office units in eight two-storey blocks with a gross floor area of 4,215sq m (45,370sq ft). DECISION TO GRANT

Location: taxi office and ATM area beside entrance number one to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Fonthill Road, Dublin 22. Proposed development: permission is sought to re-locate the ATM facility facing into the former taxi/cab office with two ATM outlets on the external wall with associated elevational changes. The area currently occupied by ATMs and lobby are to be converted to a retail unit with access from within the mall. Applicant: Liffey Valley Management Limited.

Location: Deer Park Hotel, Howth, Co Dublin. Proposed development: development of a beauty and fitness centre to consist of: internal alterations in three bedrooms to accommodate treatment rooms, reception area and a waiting lounge; enclosing the small first floor balcony at the eastern gable by adding a lean-to conservatory on top of the balcony walls; providing a small open-sided canopy at the entrance at the western gable; creating the fitness room by adding a lean-to conservatory on top of the existing walls enclosing the patio which adjoins the swimming pool hall at the rear of the building; adding a six-metre by four-metre extension next to the proposed fitness room to house four show cubicles. Location: Rear of 19 New Street, Skerries, Co Dublin. Proposed development: erect three two-bedroom apartments in a three-storey development with associated car-parking on site to the rear of 19 New Street, Skerries (and fronting onto Tennis Court Lane) which is situated within a proposed Architectural Conservation Area. DECISION TO GRANT

Location: Heeley Motors, The Mall, Malahide, Co Dublin. Proposed development: removal of existing showroom, offices and workshop and construction of 20 two and three-bedroom apartments with basement car-park and associated ancillary works. Applicant: Heeley Motors.

Location: east of M1 motorway and south-east of former N1, Balbriggan Road, Courtlough/Rowan's Road, Co Dublin. Proposed development: construction of internal access and service roads, cycleways and footpaths required to service an alternative site arrangement of the motorway service centre and associated facilities approved under Register Ref. F01A/0476; the construction of vehicular access to Balbriggan Road at the proposed roundabout junction approved under Register Reference F01A/1383; the construction of a three-storey 114-bedroom hotel incorporating associated restaurant, meeting rooms, conference facilities and staff and food preparation areas and the construction of a 150-space surface car-parking area. DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: Silks Restaurant, The Mall, Malahide, Co Dublin. Proposed development: demolish the entire two-storey and single storey structure on site. Excavation of a proposed new basement for use as a mechanical plant room keg and bottle stores, for the construction of a four-storey structure over basement to consist of a licensed restaurant at ground floor level, first floor to be used as a bar with toilet and storage facilities together with screened terrace to rear. DÚN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN

Location: Adelphi House, Upper George's Street, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Proposed development: construction of new fifth and sixth floors comprising eight duplexes over existing four-storey office buildings; change of use of the fourth floor to residential use with provision of eight apartments, change of use at ground and first floors to retail/office use; and 41 car-parking spaces. DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: former Woodbrook Motors site, Lower Road, Shankill, Dublin 18. Proposed development: demolition of light industrial unit and the provision of a two and three-storey development over basement car-park consisting of three one-bedroom apartments, five two-bedroom apartments and two three-bedroom apartments and ancillary site works. DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

Location: Dartmouth House, 1 Grand Parade, Dublin 6. Proposed development: demolition of building adjoining a protected structure. Erect mixed-use building five storeys over basement onto Ranelagh Road and nine storeys onto Grand Parade.Café/bar with outside terrace onto Ranelagh Road and Grand Parade and two retail/service units onto Grand Parade to accommodate use classes one, two, eight, 10 and 11 such as retail, professional/financial services and medical health services at ground floor level, the provision of office accommodation at first, second, third and part of fourth floor level. Location: 54-55 Marrowbone Lane, Dublin 8 including adjoining Dublin City Council lands occupied by DCC Public Lighting Department, Marrowbone Lane, Dublin 8. Proposed development: demolish two-storey dwelling, two-storey offices, warehousing, ESB substation and council depot. Erect mixed-use development in four blocks ranging from two to seven storeys. Scheme comprises commercial space of 4,011sq m (43,174sq ft) comprising a crèche, café, retail floor space of 1,358sq m (14,617sq ft) in Block A; office floor space in Block B and live/work commercial space in Blocks B, C and D. A total of 168 apartments are provided on site of which 21 are live/work units and the remaining 147 apartments (34 one-beds, 71 two-beds and 42 three-beds). Location: lands north-east of Father Collins Park Hole in the Wall (at Grange Road), Donaghmede, Dublin 13. Proposed development: erect 179 apartments and a crèche in three blocks from two to six storeys with 29 one-beds, 100 two-beds and 50 three-beds with 188 car-parking spaces. Applicant: Gannon Homes Ltd.

Location: 1 Raglan Lane, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Proposed development: demolish residence at 1 Raglan Lane, Dublin 4, rear of 1 Raglan Road (protected structure) and erect two semi-detached three-bed mews residences, one two storeys and one part two, part three storeys, forming new vehicular access onto Raglan Lane for one residence and repositioning vehicular access onto Pembroke Lane, for other residence. DECISION TO GRANT

Location: 77, 78, 78a, 78b, 79, 80 Amiens Street and 2-4 Killarney Street, Dublin 1. Proposed development: change of use on ground floor from previously approved use as offices and enterprise centre, medical and related consultants, media recording and general media uses (reg. ref. 3581/03) to proposed convenience store use with associated internal revisions and revised elevational treatment to ground floor. Location: 28-39 Portland St North, D1 (also known as 26A Portland St North). Proposed development: mixed-use scheme of three blocks from five to six storeys. Block A is five storeys and will consist of five own-door duplex office units at ground and first floor level and one own-door office unit at first floor level, one two-storey ground/first floor crèche unit, eight one-bed, nine two-bed and six three-bed apartments. Block B, predominantly six storeys, comprises 15 one-beds and 38 two-beds. Block C is six storeys and has 56 apartments. Location: Site bounded by Sandyhill Gardens to east and Sillogue Road to west and south, Sillogue, Ballymun, Dublin 11. Proposed development: erect 58 dwellings - 22 three-bed houses, 10 two-bed apartments, 10 one-bed apartments and 16 two-bed houses with car-parking. Applicant: Ballymun Regeneration Ltd.
