This Siematic kitchen designed and built by Houseworks (01 6769511) came fitted with Neff oven, hob and microwave and a Gaggenau extractor and dishwasher. Expect to pay €33,000 for something similar. The reclaimed floor came from Wilsons Yard (048 92692304).
Bargain hunters will be delighted to know that, due to uncompletion of some orders, Houseworks has a selection of very well-priced kitchens available. Prices, minus appliances, start from as little as €15,000.
Outside, the garden is the work of Tig Mays, one half of garden duo, Howbert and Mays (086 3587034/0404 42806). The greenery includes bamboo, a tree fern, lacewood and a banana tree creating a tropical corner that makes the most of the high walls and their shelter.
A bright red architectural pergola lifts the look. Expect to pay upwards of €1,500 for something similar. For anyone who wants to try their hand at doing it themselves, Howbert and Mays has launched an online garden centre. It is worth noting that the number on the website is out of date.
