Swords: from €365,000:A new phase of the Cedars, at Ridgewood, near Swords, will be on view this weekend with range of showhouses.

Being built by the MKN Property Group, the development comprises 15 homes. There are mainly three and four-bedroom houses with a small selection of two-bedroom apartments.

The scheme is close to the tree-lined entrance, beside the newly built crèche, medical centre and Tesco Express shop.

The joint selling agents are Hooke and MacDonald and Morton and Flanagan. Two bedroom apartments of 68-74sq m (735-805sq ft) cost from €365,000; three-bedroom houses of around 96sq m (1,035sq ft) cost from €440,000 and four-bedroom houses of 152sq m (1,635sq ft) cost from €540,000. The prices are the same as in the last launch in March.

Just off Forrest Road, almost opposite the Forrest Little Golf Club and a short distance from Swords village, the houses are energy efficient. These low-energy/low CO2 homes have a heating and ventilation system which combines quality construction and high levels of insulation with renewable energy.

They also have balanced levels of humidity in the house all year long due to a heat exchange unit. This can improve indoor air quality, rid homes of stale smells, filter dust from incoming air and prevent the damaging effects of condensation and mould.

Each house type will also come with its own style of finishes, such as quality kitchens, wardrobes, tiling and fireplaces.
