Bought in 1938 for about £750, the Kenny-built property sold at auction recently for £446,000. It is in its original state with the only nod to contemporary living being the installation of central heating, according to selling agent, Terry Halpenny. Should new home buyers take comfort from this sale as they pay anything up to £180,000 for their first home? In 60 years' time, it could be worth £10.8 million!
